[Canon: Right Now | Homeless]

Hey "player" (if that is even your name)

How come you'll mention that I have to put water on my cereal because I put out a towel fire with milk, but you won't say a word to plug my number one award-winning podcast? I literally put so much blood, sweat, and tears into making that happen. I work three jobs and sleep under a desk! And how come you won't talk enough about how I'm basically pretty much almost like the lead singer of the best goblin metal band in California?

You are the worst agent I've ever had. I'm going back to State Farm.

No love,
John

[homeless; I saw the gorgeous if very condensed ROV movie, so here's Andre again!]

I'm glad you're happy with seeing us all again, even if you say it was too briskly-paced and... sorry, what's a music video? ... no, I don't know what you mean by a musical—oh, like a ballad opera?

It's a shame even the songs didn't reach the same heights of the original story's lyricism, but...

The chance to see Oscar again, even for a moment, alive and breathing, passionately pursuing her ideals... is worth the weight of the world and everything in it!

... is not getting to see me throw hot chocolate on Girodelle for insinuating keeping me as Oscar's lover, like some shameful secret, really that big of a loss? Compared to Rosalie and Bernard only having one scene each, not even together, or the dire state of Paris scrubbed clean of children murdered by nobles with impunity or young girls trying to sell themselves for money for ailing parents...

Oh, Rosalie has more than just that scene?

... so s-so small?!

((For everyone who didn't see them, here are the silly chibi shorts, a bit roughly translated, that were shown in theaters before the movie. Andre kicking Alain for interrupting the "movie date" is so funny. Parodic, like BeruBara Kids!))

On plans @synflux

No. Nope. Not happening.

I don't care that I've been here for half a year already, I'd like to keep all my limbs.

[But... cool robot arm?]

That just makes it worse! They'd get the specs all wrong and probably give it five fingers...

This post is backdated to the first day of Dark!

The first morning of Dark dawns clouded and cold, a ferocious wind howling past Susan's windows.

But her schedule shan't wait for nicer conditions. She's been inventorying and re-inventorying the supplies she and Tress put away — a surplus even if their population should swell considerably, but there are the individual taste preferences of residents to account for, and little surprises to tuck away in the event that anyone might be having a bad day. She's posted announcements here and there throughout the Mansion about where to find particular resources, including hand-delivering invitations to Lan Wangji and - yes - even the angel, explaining that she's got several varieties of tea stowed away in the parlor that has become part of her suite of rooms, should they run out. Some of the supplies she's lain away were provided by the Mansion; many preserves (fruit, vegetables, cheeses, fish, sausages, and so on) are ones she and Tress prepared across the course of the year, with aid from friends and neighbors. There are general stores available for all, and also pockets specified for particular individuals based off what she knows about their tastes. These latter stockpiles she's edited, again and again, as new people arrive and some individuals leave.

Last Dark, Sagramore and Laertes hadn't even had their little cottage by the lake. Now their home is brim-ful of family - and she's got the sense that their preference is to be able to host any friend who might wander their way in search of a meal, as well. Naturally, she'd like to enable that. At least much of her rejiggering of the size of their allotment was precipitated in early autumn by their visitors, when there was still ample time to easily make adjustments to the variety and volume of the goods earmarked for them. Still, there's more food than she could possibly carry over by herself, even with use of a wagon.

("You'll help me, won't you?" she'd asked Lancelot late last evening, curled up on his lap as they sat on the couch, the throw blanket pulled up over both of them in a facsimile of propriety and as protection from Regina's sharp little claws, the book she'd been reading aloud cast off to the side. His fingers stroking through her hair were gentle, distracting. "Neither of them has approached me about the signs Tress and I posted, and I shouldn't want them to go without just because they've not seen them." And of course he'd agreed to help her take over supplies after his morning training.)

Since she's got a very full day ahead, though, she takes the first bit over herself whilst Lancelot is still out. It's rather early still (but not so early as to be rude), and behind the clouds the sun has just risen past the new mountain. The wagon, full of what she imagines must be early essentials (coffee, sausages, fruit preserves, canned vegetables, and plenty of flour, sugar, and oil), drags through the snow, wheels catching on some frozen furrows of mud by the Mansion's door and as the path veers closer to the lake and then away again, but she makes it to their door unscathed. Once there, she squares her shoulders, wipes away the tears brought forth by the sharp frigidity of the wind, and knocks.

Regarding the reboot.

That's not me! I don't know what the heck that is, but that's not me! I wouldn't act like that!

...Why is there a scene of me bathing with Jumba sitting right there.

Trick Or Treat... But DON'T Smell Sunny's Feet!!!! [open]

It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

What's keeping you awake at night ...

There's a man sitting in bench in the nexus with medium length length sliver hair and hard eyes of a blue-gray hue.  He leans forward in the seat with his hands clasped together in front of him.  He looks as though he's trying to crack his knuckles, but they won't crack.  His fingers are the right shape.  Joints in all in the right place, at a glance, but the hands are entirely formed of stain resistant metal.

Zero looks as if he's not looking at his surroundings, but through them and through you too, if you're approaching him.  He feels a question like an inch in the back of his mind and it's apparently one that he can't help, but to scratch.

"What's keeping you awake at night?"

original historical character.

Says which? There's a way I can live?

Mundane, if that isn't booshwash, please let me live! I wanna see Franny find someone and be happy, even if it's far away, all over in France.

If I can ask for somoa? I'd really like to feel the uh-huh... and be happy, too...

That's not selfish, is it?

I mean, doesn't everyone?
